This question is where the origins of The Original Squatchee™ began. For co-founders Andrew and Irvin from Colorado, working their day jobs at a bank, they discovered their shared passion for hat collecting. They would bond over that passion working side by side as coworkers and together, they realized that nothing existed that allowed you to display the best part of your hats - the front.

Going from coworkers to co-founders, they discovered a better way to show off their hat collections. Most hat display alternatives hang on a wall displaying the top of your hats with the front displaying directly towards the floor. Other display options are big and bulky and only allow for a limited number of hats. The Original Squatchee™ is the first-of-its-kind premium adhesive hat hook that allows you to display the front of your hats on a wall.

So where did the name Squatchee™ [skwot-chee] come from?
For this we can thank Irvin’s wife Danielle, who to this day is proud to say that the most important contribution to the company was when she googled what the name of the fabric covered button on top of the hat was; and since the button is such an integral part of how the front of the hats are displayed - they knew it was a match made in heaven. The Original Squatchee™ has partnered with Lids® to redefine the hat industry by providing the hat community a platform to display what is most important to them!
